![]() ![]() ![]()
Lock Is Optional for those folks who are paranoid about theft. hanger is for 2 inch receivers tools needed for install two 1/2 inch open end wrenches to tighten hardware it takes about 5 minutes and a twist of the wrist buy an adhesive threadlocker to secure the nuts to the bolt to prevent people from using tools to remove your bumpernuts. Loctite Threadlocker Red. The thieves can't steal your balls. It will make it tough to twist the nut off the bolt. We hate it when people get ripped off so please follow these instructions. We send these instructions with each hanger we ship as well. option #2 DO NOT HANG WITH CHICKEN WIRE !! Ok so you didn't buy our hanger No biggie Go to the home depot and buy some 8 gauge electrical wire . BUY 2 FEET OF WIRE. SO YOU CAN MAKE 2 LOOPS. This thick sturdy long lasting wire is safe to hang your BumperNuts, To make them hang properly you need to make 2 loops. One loop that goes to your VEHICLE and one that goes FROM THE LOOP ON THE VEHICLE TO THE NUTS. DOUBLE LOOP WORKS GREAT, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE LOOPS THE CORRECT SIZE AND THAT YOU HAVE CLEARANCE ON YOUR VEHICLE. The 2 loops them swing alot more and hang correctly. FYI.......There is a 5/16th hole drilled in the top of the nut. Use some VICE GRIPS to twist the thick wire closed. Easy way #2 FOR CARS I figured out a way to make it tough for people to steal those Bumpernuts, This works well on Cars. Get an eyehook bolt and a vice to hold the eyehook. Now this takes some muscle. Bend the eyehook open, so get your boyfriend to help you on this one. Insert the eyehook in the hole, then bend it closed over the Bumper Nut. This will allow the nut to swing back and forth and up and down perfectly. I will post more photos on this, this is a good technique for cars. See Eyehook on the bumpernut EYEHOOK For CARS cost about $2.50 Legal statement Bumpernuts are for static display only. The end user is responsible for displaying them on moving objects. Make sure to tighten your bolts on the hanger so your nuts don't fall off. we are not responsible for stolen balls. You are responsible for how you hang your nuts, please make sure they are secure because at Bumpernuts safety is first!! It is all fun and games until someone loses their nuts!!!
